Laboratory analysis confirmed four new cases of African swine fever, and these are farms in the area of ​​the Municipality of Drenovci that keep a total of 50 pigs. With this, since the beginning of the infection in the Republic of Croatia, a total of 301 pigs will be euthanized on infected farms in the area Vukovarsko-srijem county (Gunja, Privlaka, Rajevo Selo, Posavski Podgajci and Drenovci).

The Ministry of Agriculture also determined additional emergency assistance to growers in the infected area, whereby 568 farms have already received disinfectants and equipment for making disinfection barriers.

Let us remind you that the Order on control measures for the suppression of African swine fever in the Republic of Croatia is in force with the accompanying Decision on the determination of restriction zones related to the area Vukovarsko-srijem county.

The Ministry of Agriculture and the State Inspectorate are doing everything to localize ASK and eradicate it from the infected area as soon as possible and to prevent its further spread, but the human factor also plays a major role in its spread.

The relevant ministry emphasizes that all pig owners should strictly adhere to all prescribed measures and all measures determined by the Ministry of Agriculture and the veterinary inspection. Any death or disease in pigs must be immediately reported to the veterinarian, and it is strictly forbidden to bury dead pigs or remove the carcasses without prior notification to the veterinarian.
